Find your perfect save the date cards – and let the wedding countdown begin.

So, you’ve picked a wedding date and a location – congrats! Now, onto your save the date cards. Save the dates are a lovely way to share your happy news and ensure friends and family mark their calendars. They’re also the first impression guests will get of your wedding theme.

That's exactly why our collection has templates for all tastes and styles (at prices to leave you smitten). Dive into a wealth of timeless classics – florals, rustic motifs, destination themes – along with fresh, modern designs that make a bold statement. As with all our wedding stationery, you’ll have your choice of luxurious papers and fun add-ons (silver embossing, anyone?). Every save the date invitation is fully customizable to include essential info – some templates also have room for a photo or two. As you browse the gallery, you can filter designs by color, style and more. Once you’ve found a design you love, make it yours in our online studio – add names, your wedding date, a QR code and more. Then place your order and we’ll take care of the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. You’ll have a chance to add envelopes after designing. Please note that you’ll receive one envelope for each card. You can skip envelopes, too.

Not quite. Both provide guests with essential information: the difference is how much. With save the dates, you’re simply announcing your wedding and asking loved ones to hold the date for the occasion (hence the name). Save the dates should always be sent before invitations so that guests have ample time to plan and block off time for the event.

Invitations, on the other hand, are sent after save the dates and contain all the important details about your wedding. That includes the time, date and address of the ceremony and reception. Lots of couples also add enclosure cards with info on lodging, transportation, maps to the venue, etc. If you’re hosting multiple events (such as a rehearsal dinner or farewell brunch), it helps to include an itinerary as well. Last, but definitely not least, invitations should always contain RSVP cards (or a QR code to RSVP).

We recommend mailing your save the dates about 6 to 8 months prior to the big day (or a year if you’re hosting a destination wedding).

Send a save the date to everyone on your guest list, with one card per household. That way, couples and family members living together don’t receive multiple copies.

It’s tradition to list the bride’s name first, but it all comes down to whatever you feel comfortable with. Some couples order their names alphabetically. Others go by what looks best on the save the date card.

We most likely do! Our collection includes hundreds of save the date templates spanning a wide range of styles: classic, rustic and more. (If you’re planning a destination wedding, we have specific designs for that, too.)

If you have a specific vision for your invites, our Graphic Design Services allow you to work with a professional designer on one of our existing templates. You can also create a bespoke design for something truly one of a kind.

In addition to our paper save the date cards, we offer fully customizable save the date magnets – a popular option for wedding couples.

We don’t offer custom samples at this time – but you can order a small batch of 10 save the date cards in order to see and feel your cards before you fully commit.

That all comes down to what you have planned. Itinerary cards are essential if you’re hosting multiple events. As for wedding programs, you may or may not need them depending on the actual ceremony. If your ceremony is on the shorter side, it won’t hurt to skip them. If there’ll be multiple components (prayers, blessings, songs, communion), we strongly suggest including them. Programs are especially handy at multicultural ceremonies and help any guests who are unfamiliar with the proceedings follow along.

Great deal!

Aug 6, 2024 | Margaret | Save The Date Cards | VistaPrint (9)Verified Buyer

I bought these cards to make bookmarks, 2 per card. I duplicated the picture and text and then just cut them in half when I received them. I gave them as gifts and they were well received.
