Is Microsoft paying Liquipedia to advertise Aoe4? Or is Nili just writing all the content?
Look at e.g. the pages of Daut or Jordan (two absolute Aoe2 legends and two of the best AOE2 !!!! players of all time). Their biographies ONLY include useless Aoe4 remarks, what the eff is going on??
I mean, even TheViper's page does include more Aoe4 text than Aoe2 (but alteast he is somewhat playing Aoe4, as he was forced to participate in N4C. Again, for marketing reasons only..)
What the flip is going on?

As always with Liquipedia, its voluntary work. An editor began doing the small biographies for AoE4 when GENESIS happened. He stopped updating them after that.
For AoE2, its kinda hard to do them for all the players. I've done one for Viper, see here https://liquipedia.net/ageofempires/TheViper/Biography/Age_of_Empires_II but I lost motivation doing them. Its just too much man 11
If you want to add them, feel free to do so.

But didn't they have biographies for aoe2 before? Or did they never have those at all?

No, I feel like HOF texts are lauding the players (which they should).
Wiki pages should only contain absolutely neutral statements and descriptions.

maybe if this bother you, you should be adding them yourself instead of accusing and insulting work of volunteers. This is exactly how you end up not having volunteers adding stuff at all and you complaining why Liquidpedia is not up to date after tournaments are no longer updated. Also fixing your midset of other games is one thing
anyway what makes you think viper is forced to participate in N4C?

While I haven’t visited liquipedia much, I think Tarsiz is right. The HoF or any kind of HoF, is always about flattering egos and some things being blown up. Not to say there’s no truth in it though. Myths and legends should sound more attractive than they actually are. It should be kept separate or if something made its way over, should only be factual but not the whole thing imo.

I dare someone to write Nili's biography that he killed AOE2 pro scene.
It is objective and neutral, all of you know that.

Daut's and Jordan's liquipedia profiles used to contain a lot of info about their AOE2 tourneys and so on.
Someone must have removed them. Why? If they want to just add AOE4 content, do so, right?
But sure, nothing to see here folks, lets just laugh at the poster who doesn't know how volunteering works.

There must be a version tracking in liquipedia, if someone did that intentionally, it should be easy to find.

If you load up some older versions of dauts page like this one:
DauT
Darko "DauT" Dautovic (born July 30, 1985) is a Serbian Age of Empires II and Age of Empires IV player who is currently playing for GamerLegion.
liquipedia.net
You can see there was no aoe2 content in the biography.
So this is not true

As D3rp already showed, there is a version history for pages (in fact for all kinds of wikis).
Here for the people who cant figure out themselves:
Click on "History" at the top, then click on one of the dates for the version of that time. I marked the last one before AoE4 came out, so you non-believers can check that one yourself and see there was no text.
@derpina276 iirc the AoE wiki was installed June 2020.

In liquipedia you can find Daut's tournaments results back into 2002, just look "Results" and "matches" tabs, even overview shows Daut's achievements which are happen to be from aoe2. There has not been biography for Daut before aoe4 and your question already tells that you did even mean to check liquipedia history before posting, raising question about your intentions. You don't need to like AoE4 but this hate is getting even stupidier.

Exactly, neutral and reasonable statements and descriptions.
Creating pages for Daut, Jordan and writing entirely about their experience in AOE4, is like creating a page for Michael Jordan in an encyclopedia and only writing about his baseball years..
I mean, who the hell would come up with an idea like that?
I am fully aware that i have probably already answered my question in my first post. These articles (Jordan, Daut) are written by Nili (or one of his alt accounts, Simosan or something) or somebody else who is getting paid to promote Aoe4..

raising claims that you don't even know if they are true(and therefore not post at all) and same time underming aoe4 doesn't seem quite friendly stance towards aoe4 me. intressingly enough you appear every time to support people who talk negatively towards aoe4 in some way.

I don't even know why we are talking anymore about a dead game, lets talk about the great tournaments that are happening in AoE2, not astonishing prizes but very fun and skilled games.

Other than being a completely ludicrous statement, any one of you fine folks from the paid aoe2 lobby are welcome to volunteer your time to write biographies for the hundreds of players who have pages whenever you like. Please join the Liquipedia discord if you have any questions on how you can be a useful, contributing member of the community.

perhaps if you have some more time, you could look up who wrote what instead of just tagging nili along like in every post? he does live in your head (oxymoron i know) rent free.
